Cloudgeni banked €858k ($1M) in Pre-Seed funding to automate the setup and maintenance of cloud environments. The round includes participation from Antler, Startuplab, and the byFounders Angel Collective. Individual backers include Nicolaj Højer Nielsen and Remarkable CEO Vegard Gullaksen Veiteberg.
The Oslo-based startup develops autonomous agents that build and monitor cloud infrastructure. Using deterministic workflows, the platform identifies and fixes misconfigurations to ensure security and regulatory compliance. The system is designed to perform technical tasks and system operations that typically require manual intervention from DevOps and security teams.
Founded in 2024, the company already counts Norwegian industrial firms Hydro and Havila as clients and maintains a partnership with IBM. The new capital is earmarked for expansion into the US market, where Cloudgeni recently onboarded its first paying customer.
As cloud complexity outpaces the capacity of manual oversight, Norwegian software firms are increasingly turning to agentic automation to secure mission-critical infrastructure.
