DesignVerse secures €4.6M Seed to modernise aviation and enterprise software

DesignVerse banked €4.6 million ($5.5 million) in Seed funding to accelerate the modernisation of mission-critical software. The round was led by Begin Capital, with participation from Gapminder VC and Underline Ventures. Individual angel investors from Adobe, LSEG, and UiPath also joined the raise.

The Bucharest-based startup provides an AI-driven platform that translates design systems and internal documentation directly into functional enterprise applications. By grounding its models in a client's specific architecture patterns and technical rules, the tool automates the manual bridge between design intent and engineering production. The software is specifically built for sectors with high-stakes legacy infrastructure, such as banking, cybersecurity, and government services.

The company recently proved its utility by modernising 15-year-old software for EUROCONTROL, the agency responsible for European air traffic coordination. DesignVerse completed the overhaul in approximately one month, significantly faster than the six-month timeline estimated for traditional development methods. Since its founding in 2024, the firm has reportedly surpassed €930,000 in annual recurring revenue.

Following a previous €725,300 pre-seed round, this new capital will be used to expand the engineering team and push into the US market. The deal signals the continued strength of the Romanian enterprise software scene, following in the footsteps of regional giants by targeting complex, highly regulated global industries.
