ReVision Implant raises €4M for brain-interfaced bionic vision

ReVision Implant banked €4M in Seed funding to advance the development of its neural vision prosthesis. The investment supports the Dutch company as it moves its implant technology toward clinical application.

The company develops a high-density electrode interface designed to bypass damaged eyes and optic nerves. By communicating directly with the brain’s visual cortex, the device aims to restore functional sight to patients with profound blindness who cannot be treated through traditional retinal implants.

Based in the Netherlands, the startup utilizes research into neuro-stimulation to address conditions where the connection between the eye and the brain has been severed. The technology focuses on creating a stable, long-term link with the brain to provide meaningful visual information to the user.

As European deep-tech funding shifts toward complex hardware and life sciences, ReVision’s focus on direct neural interfaces reflects a growing regional commitment to high-stakes medical engineering.
