Two European deep-tech companies landed major public backing today, with Fareham-based Kraken Technology raising $175m Series B to become Europe’s newest defence tech unicorn, backed by NATO Innovation Fund and Rheinmetall. Munich-based QuantumDiamonds also raised €91m, combining equity and EU Chips Act funding, to scale its quantum-based technology for inspecting semiconductors at the nanoscale.
