European tech kicked off the week with two major milestones, as Moneybox crossed the billion-pound mark using the UK’s new Pisces share-trading system, and Helsing closed the largest funding round any European defence startup has ever raised. Monzo’s Tom Blomfield also swapped fintech for AI, joining Anthropic’s infrastructure team.

  • Munich-based Helsing raised $1.8b Series E to scale its AI-powered defence and security platform, hitting an $18b valuation in Europe’s biggest defence-tech funding round. Read more here.
