The UK is putting up some impressive numbers in tech. New figures show the sector has reached a £1.2tn valuation, with AI companies raising more than £8.2bn in the first half of 2026 alone and now accounting for 32% of its total value. At the same time, Berlin-based n8n announced plans to grow its UK team to 200 employees as London continues to attract some of Europe’s fastest-growing AI companies.

💰 Funding rounds

  • Cambridge-based Undo raised €31m to help AI agents identify and fix software issues by providing runtime context, as demand grows for tools that improve the reliability of AI-assisted software engineering. Read more here.

  • Madrid-based Orbio raised €18.1m to expand its AI workforce platform that helps enterprises automate hiring, onboarding and workforce management for frontline teams. Read more here.

  • Munich-based CollimateHealth raised €6m Seed to advance its microbeam radiation therapy technology and build a compact alternative to the particle accelerators currently required for the treatment. Read more here.

  • Berlin-based Qorelo raised €3m to expand its AI platform that helps enterprises automate SAP migrations and ERP transformation projects ahead of SAP’s 2027 deadline. Read more here.

  • n8n announced plans to grow its UK team to 200 employees by 2029 as the Berlin-based AI company expands internationally, saying the UK has become one of its most important markets. Read more here.

  • UK tech reached a £1.2tn valuation, with UK AI companies raising more than £8.2bn in the first half of 2026 alone. AI now accounts for 32% of the sector’s total value, while the UK ranks third globally for AI talent with a workforce of 56,000 and more than 10,000 researchers. Read more here.
