Nvidia officially confirmed it’s buying Hugging Face, the open-source hub used by over 18 million developers, for $12.93bn, with CEO Jensen Huang pledging it will stay open to the whole AI industry and not just Nvidia’s own tools. Stockholm-based eComID also acquired fellow Stockholm startup Nilum, just weeks after its own €14.6m raise, to push into AI-powered second-hand shopping.
