CodeWords banks €8.26M Seed to automate workflows for non-coders

CodeWords banked €8.26M ($9M) in Seed funding led by Visionaries. The round features a dense cap table of high-profile backers, including Firstminute Capital, Sequel, Illusian, and ZKB. Notable angel participants include ElevenLabs CEO Mati Staniszewski, Miro CEO Andrey Khusid, and Supercell founder Ilkka Paananen.

The London-based startup builds an AI agent platform designed to help non-technical staff automate complex business workflows. Users interact with a chat interface to create multi-step automations, such as price monitoring or lead generation, which then integrate into existing tools like Slack, WhatsApp, or Asana. The platform currently processes 500,000 monthly workflows across 3,000 integrations.

Founders Aymeric Zhuo and Osman Ramadan development focus is on "contextual memory," allowing the AI to proactively suggests automations based on a company’s specific tech stack and history. This capital injection is earmarked for international expansion, including the opening of a San Francisco office and expanding a 14-person team across engineering and sales functions.

As low-code and no-code tools move beyond simple UI assembly into logic-heavy process automation, European startups are increasingly competing to capture the "middle layer" of enterprise productivity that sits between simple apps and manual coding.
