Tequipy raises over €3M to automate global device logistics

Tequipy banked over €3M in Seed funding to scale its platform for automated IT device logistics. London-based Smedvig Ventures led the round, with participation from Manta Ray and Unfold.vc.

The startup provides a global infrastructure for shipping, servicing, and retrieving employee hardware. By connecting a software layer to a network of more than 800 authorised resellers, Tequipy allows companies to source and pre-configure devices locally in over 180 countries. This model replaces manual processes involving spreadsheets and customs brokers, frequently reducing international hardware onboarding times from weeks to three days.

The company was founded in 2022 by a team of former Revolut employees, including the fintech's former Global Head of IT. The founders experienced the friction of scaling IT operations first-hand while growing Revolut’s headcount from 100 to 5,000 across 17 countries. Today, Tequipy manages the full device lifecycle, including storage, redeployment, and sell-back, aiming to eliminate the majority of manual tasks for IT departments.

This investment highlights the ongoing focus on operational efficiency for distributed teams. As European borderless hiring becomes standard for high-growth firms, the complexity of cross-border hardware management is shifting from a back-office burden to a specialised category for automated vertical SaaS.
