Calibre raises €3.12M Pre-Seed for AI certification agents

Calibre banked €3.12M ($3.3M) in Pre-Seed funding to automate the complex certification and compliance processes within highly regulated industries. The round was led by Vicus Ventures, with participation from CIV.

The London-based startup develops AI agents designed to navigate the paperwork-heavy world of industrial and safety certifications. By automating the verification and documentation steps, the platform aims to reduce the manual workload for engineers and compliance officers who currently rely on fragmented legacy systems.

Founded by former Palantir executives, the company is targeting a sector where regulatory requirements frequently slow down product launches and operational upgrades. The founders intend to use the capital to expand their engineering team and accelerate the deployment of their agentic workflows across the certification market.

As European industrial sectors face increasing regulatory scrutiny, the shift toward autonomous AI agents for compliance reflects a broader trend of digitising the "unsexy" backend of the physical economy.
