Mediads secures €3M Seed to amplify social ads via premium publishers

Mediads banked €3M Seed funding led by Seventure Partners. The French adtech firm also saw participation from 404 Ventures in a round designed to scale its software-as-a-service platform across European markets.

The company provides a technical solution for "social ad amplification", which allows brands to run advertisements on social media platforms that appear as though they are shared directly by premium media publishers. By bypassing traditional brand-led display formats, the system aims to improve engagement rates by leveraging the trust and authority associated with established news and lifestyle outlets.

Mediads targets a shift in digital marketing where standard social ads face declining performance and rising costs. Its platform automates the workflow between brands and publishers, ensuring that sponsored content maintains the editorial aesthetic of the hosting publication while providing the targeting capabilities of social networks.

As privacy regulations and algorithm changes weaken traditional tracking, European advertisers are increasingly prioritising contextual placements and publisher-backed credibility to maintain return on spend.
